To see who viewed your profile follow these steps:

1. Add yourself to your buddy list
2. Open up a chat window with yourself and click on the profile button to view your profile
3. Lastly, click on the link that you placed in your profile

When someone clicks the link in my profile they are redirected to the home page or recive an error saying that the link is invalid. How do I fix this problem?

This problem is caused when the link in your profile is not exactly how it is given when your register or get a new link. To fix this problem, simply go to the new link page, enter your screen name, and copy the code given into your profile. Be sure to use the forms given if you want to change the look of the link. DO NOT use any of the tools in the AIM Profile Editor window to change the link, since that is the cause of this problem.

Does someone have to click the link in my profile for their screen name to be recorded?

Yes, AIM Profile View Tracker only records the screen name of people who click the link in your profile. Although it would be better if a screen name could be recorded without that person clicking on a link, this is currently impossible for any tracker to do since AIM only allows certain code in profiles.

What AIM client(s) is AIM Profile View Tracker compatible with?

AIM Profile View Tracker only works with the standard AIM client. It does not work with the AOL client which is only accessible to AOL members (the client available to the people who pay for AOL), nor does it work with ICQ. If you use these clients, you may download the standard AIM Client here. We do have a separate service that works with Gaim and Trillian; if you use one of these clients and are interested in using this other service go to TrackMyBuddies.com. Note that this AIM Profile Tracker service is not as east to use as this service (TrackMyProfile.com) and we would reccomend that most people who use Gaim or Trillian download the standard AIM Client and use this service.

The view notification bot is not IM-ing me when someone views my profile. How do I get the bot to work?

There are actually a couple of reasons why the TrackMyProfile.com bot might not be IM-ing you. First make sure you have added the bot to your buddy list. The bot's SN is trckmyprfl. Second make sure you have Notifications enabled. To do this send the message "on" (without quotes) to trckmyprfl. If the bot appears Offline or you're still having problems visit the Bot Status page, by clicking the Bot Status link. If that page says theat the bot is Offline or lists any other technical problems, be assured that it's a problem with our bot, and not anything that you've done wrong. In this situation, we will do our best to get the bot back up and working ASAP. If no problems are listed and you've followed the steps above and are still having problems with the bot, contact us via the Live Help on the questions/comments page.
